If you were gifted startup capitol for any business you wanted to open what would it be?

No fast food franchises please, no casinos, nothing outrageous. Something you have the skills to do yourself.

Ive always wanted to start my own business but its come down to A) not having the start up capitol and B) not having the required knowhow for ideas that i feel might be profitable.


Ideas that come to mind that i feel i can do are
1) computer repair- over saturated field. Lots of competition. Outcalls require high liability insurance. The field is slowly dying, people under 30 with half a brain know how to rid viruses and speed up their computers. Thats the bulk of the business demographic.

2) moving/storage business
3) lanscapping business.
4) gutter and chimney sweeping
5) commercial property real estate investing/apartment complexes.

Been there and done that. I ran a mechanical contracting business for 12 years. Working for yourself is not the complete be all and end all. During that time my idea of a vacation was leaving Thursday and coming home Sunday night and being at work Monday. Mind you I didn't have to answer to anyone if I screwed off Wednesday Afternoon to golf.

never work a conventional job unless you're totally broke, but once you got a bankroll always go for being the boss

you will lose you will learn and eventually you will make it
 
I would take the money and invest.

Or start my own social media and SEO marketing firm. Specializing in interactive audience engagement campaigns that span over various mediums (web, mobile, and live events), to boost brand awareness and increase ROI.

So basically, what I do now, just on my own terms for multiple brands.
