Nice. I checked out an apartment in the new building on 13th and Market when I was down there. SUPER swanky, but there were homeless people ALL OVER THE PLACE. I guess is makes sense, if you're homeless, it's best to be in San Diego, but shit, if I lived there I'd be running into my apartment for fear of being bum-mugged (which is the most pathetic of muggings, no?). In any rate, where you are, which I presume is west of Market, is on the nicer side of Bumville. That stadium area is really nice!!! I also looked at an apartment building that had seating on the roof where you can sit and watch the games below. It was sweet digs.

I like Horton Plaza in SD, but I heard it's gone downhill? Downtown rocked when I used to go there a lot. I know a lot of ppl there who love it. My sister is in North County, it's nice up there, but super suburban.

Now in San Fran rents are MORE expensive than NYC and I'm looking for an apartment in a landlords market. UGH. I'm looking in The Mission, Hayes Valley and SOMA. Apartments here are so super tiny. A 400 square foot studio is, no lie, like, $2,500 a month. INSANE.

theres a ton of buildings here with rooftop seating where you can watch the games. my old building had that. my new building has a pool though, so that is sweet.

horton plaza has gone waaaay downhill. i avoid that place like the plague.

yeah prices up there are out of control to be sure.

the homeless situation in east village is a lot better. there are tons of new highrises going in around here and they just finished a 200 million dollar library in the area. they keep pushing the homeless southeast down into barrio logan. i will be buying a condo here over the next six months.
