Up here many people (including single childless males) collect welfare while waiting for their employment insurance claims to kick in when they are laid off from work temporarily or permanently.

Welfare is not difficult to get in Canada, I'm sure the process is much easier here than in the US.

If you went to school for any length of time and have any kind of skill, you're not eligible for Canadian welfare no matter how long you've been unemployed. Welfare is for the unemployable who think they're ripping off the system.

Enjoy living on 600 bucks a month.

Faller, I think it is out of pure frustration. I don't like seeing people use EBT cards while wearing nicer clothing and driving Cadillacs. It is fucking stupid. There needs to be an implement of mandatory drug testing for people on welfare. I don't give a fuck if it costs more, I'd rather pay the person monitoring than the fucks using public aid for crack.

I assume you are from the Detroit area. What People don't factor in is these people are getting allowances and credits for housing, utilities, and infant goods. They get free schooling also. They get 2-3 people with kids all living together and then selling off the cards for 50 cents on the dollar. I can go to Benton Harbor and buy 10 Bridge cards tomorrow for half price. Where does the money go? If you guess booze, smokes, and the casino, you win.
 
dont pay any attention to these high society fools, dooze... get yourself a broad with some kids, collect around a dime a month, get free section 8 housing with cable, free school and clothes for kids, free cell phones and extra food stamps...do some side shit for cash...live like a fuckin king! its the new american way :yes:
