Yeah I've been there quite a few times. Usually we use it as a stopping point if our flight came through Bangkok before heading to Koh Samui. A week might be a long time to be there though as it's an actual city as opposed to the more beachy, partying type places but it's close enough to Patong for it not to really matter much.

If you get bored though you can always head to Koh Pha-Ngan for a night or two. That's where Mushie Mountain is and the full moon parties. Place is crazy. I think it was something like $10 for a mushie shake but they have all sorts of other things on the menu if you want something stronger.

nha trang has great beaches...ho chi minh city is pretty damn fun (saigon)...wish you could stay there a few more days...have fun...it is definitely something to see...i dunno any exact stats, but we will just say pretty much every damn body rides scooters and motorcycles and its the leading cause of death in the city....you could see a few hit an run deaths while there :moped:
