I don't want to switch carriers so I will give you the only options available at my carrier that fit my budget. I plan to use the phone 85% for making phone calls, 5% for texting, 5% for web/email, 3% for taking pictures and 2% for making videos.

Here are my options:

HTC myTouch 4G
Samsung Galaxy S 4G
HTC Radar 4G
LG G2x with Google
LG DoublePlay

I know there are better and more expensive phones in the market so please help me choose out of these 5. If all 5 suck please let me know and I may consider switching carriers.

Thank you in advance.

I just ordered a motorolla bionic. Interested to see how it pperforms.

I would stick w/ any of the 4g ones and have no experience w/ htc so would default to samsung. I've been with motorolla for about 2-3 years but before that was a loyal samsung user. No complaints with that manufacturer.

thanks kato..I have many samsung products in my house and they perform great!

I'll see if they have any motorolla. My current phone is a motorolla and it's OK but not great.
unless shit has changed in the last 2 months if you are barely using the web I don't see any need for a phone with 4g. It destroys your battery life
I didn't know that choo. So will it drain the battery even if it's on standby and I don't use the web or text?

I had a 4g compatible phone for 3 weeks and the difference when toggling from 3g to 4g, even in idle was quite significant lasted almost double on 3g. 4g is fucking fast tho if you are in the right area.

Pavy if ur in business then maybe consider a Blackberry...But like the others if u use the net it will kill the battery.

Its a shame that as phone technology has advanced, battery technology has not been able to keep up...

DL the juice saver App. it will make the battery last a shit load longer.
when I first got mine the battery only lasted about 5 hrs, after the DLing the app it now last for 24+ hrs.

I would use it to watch UGA games whenever my son had a game at the same time and the battery would still drain fast, so guess it dont help when connected to the web
