because we don't get much of it that often. We will get dustings of it usually once a year but any REAL snow (that you can actually measure, maybe make a snowman out of) is a rare thing. The temps here will be back in the mid-60's by the weekend.

I think they are mad at me. The little kid hasn't been around at all since last Tuesday night. I had the snow blower out early Thurs morning. Interesting. I think the snow blower may have sent a message.

our main issues down here are always ice. the snow on roads melts and ices over. Overpasses ice over. And since it doesn't happen that often we have no idea how to drive on it. Most cities/areas don't have the equipment to clear the roads because it simply isn't cost effective since you might use them one or twice every 2-5 years or more. the main interstate running N/S through the state is basically a parking lot from Birmingham on south with multiple wrecks. The muni police just announced they will no longer respond to wrecks that do not involve injuries.

wow.... you guys should at least get a truck that uses a special salt brine. Works pretty well if the temps are right.

WOW... I'm serious, -25 and the kids are still outside playing in the school yard. My boys (not just mine) are out on outdoor rinks in those temps. Kids are tough and do not fear the cold up this way. My boys and a couple kids will definitely be out on the rink tonight.
