pally, there are a lot of anti-Shrink testimonials at Peep's.

Sounds to me like he was your average ruthless businessman. Shouldn't surprise anyone that high-profile figures of the offshore gambling industry aren't exactly choir boys.

EyeOnGambling - http://www.eog.com
Kenneth Weitzner and Greg Handcock (the general) are the owners of Eog.
Ken Weitzner stole therx mailing list after they sold therx for a bunch of cash and obviously has no professional business ethics. Eyeongambling bans and edits peoples post when they feel like it.

is that the same General at SBR?
whats up with that?

SportsBookReview - http://www.sportsbookreview.com
John Walker is the owner of SBR, they have had a history of padding there own wallets by giving lower type books higher rating for the cash.
Bill Dozer is the guy in charge of rating the sportsbooks. He has been caught in numerious silly lies and the famous lie where he claimed he has been betting on sports since he was 7.

I simply found him to be a typical forum owner

I kind of regret my use of this phrase. It is a business which is never going to be lily white but there is a vast range of choices that I have seen people make. I have seen sleaze but I have also been impressed by some in that position.

I shouldn't paint everyone with one brush.

I did meet Ken and Jackie back in 2003 when I went over to their house for dinner with my boys, on our way to Florida. They were gracious hosts, and Jackie was completely charming.

I can not see a grandmother such as herself committing suicide, regardless of circumstances. She was smart and caring, she certainly did not seem like the sort of person who would place that sort of burden on her family. Ken may or may not have had business/personal problems, but her supposed actions make no sense what so ever to me.

anyone here going on a "vacation" anytime soon?

No but I am going to be "watching a Jersey Shore marathon" tonight, starting very soon

I do want to say though, before I "watch Snookie do her thing", that there are some great guys (and girls) here, and it's a community that has had great gambling info as well as a lot of great other info and great humor and I just want to say that I have had a great time being part of this community and feel absolutely blessed that I have been able to get to know you all better in an environment that is worth coming to

all the people who have put so much hard work into all areas of this site - rogue juror, dunder, bread, and countless others - have made this site into what it is today

Pally is now on suicide watch.

Suicide is fairly common, and is not newsworthy. I'm just saying, unless he's famous for something bigger than "foruming" it's not likely to be on the news.

That was my first thought as well, but it seems that Shrink lived in a small community where such an event would get reported on.

I dunno. My money is on a tragic murder-suicide and general laziness by the authorities and media.

It's a small community in some ways, and not so much in other ways. Chesapeake is one of the 7 cities that make up Hampton Roads, a designation of land that stretches about 45 miles in vicinities north and west of the VA/NC border. The entire area is home to around 2 million people. Chesapeake itself has about 250k people stretched out over a good amount of land, and the area he lived in is fairly rural.

Ken Weitzner, while not exactly famous, was someone who has been in the news before. He and his wife were what would be considered well-to-do. They were grandparents. This is a shocking and titillating story. As someone who has lived here his entire life I find it hard to believe that local news organizations would not have reported (at least in passing) such an event if they had any clue of it's occurrence. If you don't think it would have been newsworthy here I suggest you glance through the Chesapeake headlines in the archives of the news links I posted above.

Much like Robyn, I don't necessarily doubt that these people are dead. I just find it very hard to believe that they committed double suicide in their home in Chesapeake, VA and not one local news outlet bothered to report on the episode.
