I am a thrill ride junkie. I didn't go to 6-Flags Great Adventure this summer though I intended to. It is the tallest and fastest coaster in the world. It features a single 456 ft. top hat ascent, powered by hydrolic launch catapult (same thing they launch jets w/ on an aircraft carier). This is followed by a single rolling "zero-g" camel hump. 0 to 128mph (206kmh) in 3.5 secs, pulling 5.1gs. All in all it takes 56 seconds. God I want to ride this thing.

There were so few people there that we managed to get on almost all the "5" rated rides from 12pm to 5pm.

My fave ride by far is the classic "Drop Tower" where you're simply allowed to freefall for ~5 seconds. It's the only ride that makes me scream unintentionally and the only one I cared to do more than once. HUGH adrenaline rush. 10 Matty Rains.

Magic Mountain here in SoCal is adding a ride like this. I will be going when it opens next year. They are building it on the side of the Superman tower.
