I never recycled because it only encourages the corporations to make more crap (kind of like elections). And then we are the ones that have to worry and protect their industry. Fuck em, they have more to lose when everything goes to shit.

I recycle quite a bit. I think it is a good thing and am pleased with the general trend in society in that direction.

I am not clear on the ins and outs of earth day but I think I basically support it in a fuzzy, distant way.
