I watch alot of PBS - Detroit public tv. They broadcast 3 separate channels over the air - 56.1/56.2/56.3
I'd say it compromises at least 2/3 of my televison viewing.
I don't have cable/satellite, just an outdoor antenna that gives me approx 24 channels.
I get all the major US networks, also CBC Windsor and CTV Windsor.
For sports I usually watch online, ie NHL etc.
I'd say one of the main reasons I watch PBS is it's commercial free.
If there is nothing interesting on PBS I tune to channel 2.2 - the movie channel.
I wish I could get TVO (TVOntario) thats about the only channel I miss.
I also listen to CBC Windsor and Detroit public radio - WRCJ - commercial free jazz/classical.
The big networks have little that interests me, besides the investigative reports (60 minutes, 20/20 etc) and sometimes the news.
I can't believe how lousy all the current sit-coms are. I tried watching Two Broke Broads and lasted an entire episode without lol'ing.
I had Netflix but basically watched everything I was interested in - Breaking bad.
Borrowing DVD's from the library and downloading series/movies from the internet works well.
(My ISP allows unlimited downloading between 2AM-8AM that doesn't count towards to my 300GB month plan)
How about you, do you have cable/satellite? Are you into PBS?
