If I put anything about my current in-laws, the Other Matty would injure me.
I will tell you a story about my ex in-laws. My ex had just returned from Iraq (when the war had just started) and we were visiting his parents. It was the second time I had met them and I had been dating him for almost a year. She had been making these odd little comments the entire time we had been visiting. At one point, she pulled out a pair of jeans that were too big for her and said, "I can't believe that I was ever THAT FAT!" Without missing a beat, she turned to me and said, "Here, these look like they might fit you."
Or the time that my grandmother died and she threw a fit that we couldn't make it to her house (they lived five hours away) in a snowstorm. We ended up almost missing the funeral because of her.

MrsX's mother was always great to me, although she would drive MrsX batshit crazy. She was a bit nuts and extremely right-wing (she once got visited by the secret service because of an over-the-top phone call she made to some politician), but I got along well with her.

No issues at all. I prefer watching the highlights on ESPN than the whole game. I love going to the games. AAA Braves are next door. We go to the games.

my in-laws are generally good people. mother in law didn't like me at first....now I'm not so sure but she is very cordial when I am around.
