He was a DH most of his career. Considering how clutch he was for the Sox, I didn't care if he was the Cracker Jack vendor.

I'm not going to be the delusional fan and say "Where is the proof". What I will say is that I can't find a superstar of his era that didn't cheat or had the aura of cheating on them. Jeter and Schilling would be the only exceptions.
