Excitement is not happiness.
I'm not what sure happiness really is, I don't think it is easily defined.
I've been thinking about this lately. Actually thought about it so much last night in bed I hardly slept.
I watched a basketball game yesterday, a game I bet on. I lost.
Sporting events are soo boring the only way to make them interesting is to bet on them.
I don't mean just basketball games, I mean all games. Hockey, baseball, US football etc. We've all seen many games played over our lives to date. It's the same thing, run, pass, shoot, kick, score etc. etc. etc. I've seen a billion horse races, all boring unless there is a bet involved. Winning money is exciting and it creates a temporary feeling of excitement and satisfaction.
It's gotta be about emotions. Thats what life is. A series of emotions connected or not, until we die.
I'm convinced and have been for a long time now that humans are motivated and act mostly on emotion(s).
We derive pleasure from things as a way to fight boredom. Imagine a life without any pleasure.
I'm neither happy nor sad at the moment. I'm very much neutral. Just thinking.
