Does that rule even exist at the international level? We tend to assume that NHL rules apply.

I'm more annoyed by the fact that Canadians coach other countries. Coaches should have citizenship just like athletes. I thought the whole point of the Olympics was to compare national sports programs.
 
NO!!!!

I honestly think the Yanks will beat Canada. Phil Kessel is on a serious tear. He's by far the best forward in these Olympics. So far. Canada's forwards can't get any offense going. I blame Babcock, but whatever.

The one thing though is that the game will be a good hard fought game. It won't be like the game I just wasted time watching. Teams playing the NZT should be embarrassed, but I honestly can't blame the Latvians. What else could they do?

I'll go with 4-2 Yanks on Friday. Maybe 5-3 or 4-3 as well. I just can't see Canada winning.
 
yeah, I tend to agree with you, Americans look good. Too bad Russia doesn't get a second chance against them. Wtf kind of style was Russia playing? was it a trap? Maybe you can explain.
Missed opportunity overall in the tournament imo. Bigger ice did not produce up and down action, seems like everybody is playing scared defensive style.

Tons of offsides as well. Russia was playing desperate hockey. 1 player trying to take on the entire line of Finns. You need to work as a team.
 
Looks like the line is up for the semi final and it is pk at the moment on Pinnacle. Both Semi-Final games are Pk in fact.

The Canada game today could have just as easily been 4-0 as it was 2-1; Canada got caught flat footed on the one goal we allowed and we have only given up 3 goals so far.

That goalie for Latvia was the big difference there, in my opinion.

It sucks that the US game was at the same time as the Canada game. I may have to try to watch the US game later if possible.

didn't see the game yet, but make perfect sense. This has been a common problem of theirs for decades now. I can't believe there are no great hockey minds left over from the USSR to get them to stop doing that. :banghead:
