To close the obvious loophole: without bending your knees?

I can not.

I think I am in very good shape (for an old guy) but through the summer months it is mostly from bicycle riding which apparently does not translate to great flexibility.

My indoor winter workout involves more stretching and I was just trying to touch my toes and the closest I could get was about 8 inches. I imagine if I stick with it I will reach the toes eventually but it was a pretty sad display.
 
Matty, to topple implies that there would be something graceful involved. When things topple over there is this dramatic cinematic vision in our minds eye. When Wal goes down there is nothing graceful about it. To clarify though the wind, even gail force winds have failed to knock me over.
 
Daft and Mcballs may have to compete head-to-head on the pommel horse to determine Gamelive's Most Nimble.

I will be there soon though. As God as my witness, I will touch my toes again!
