I wonder how Connor McDavid feels about going to the Sabres. Is he pining/yearning for a hockey future in Buffalo, I wonder.

Sabres don't look like they're trying to lose on purpose. And they're not as awful as their record shows.

IMO tanking is way more a matter for simpleton fans to discuss and try to feel smart, than something teams actually do.

Although from what I gather, McDavid is more of a can't-miss prospect than some other ridiculous tankable names that fans come up with every year in every sport.

Not sure how the NHL works. Suppose a team successfully tanked and got the first pick. What does that do, give them a 28% chance of getting the first pick or some damn thing?

However you feel about his coming out, he did break the ice. Sort of. In a semi-chickenshit way, towards the end of his carreer, 'cause he wanted to hang on to his NBA career as a borderline NBA talent.

Agree. I've hears for three weeks how the Bears should tank the season to get a top 3-5 pick. Why would a player or coach want to tank just so someone can take their job? If a team were tank, baseball would be the easiest, but the draft is also the riskiest.
