Tough to call but I'm going with #1. I think it would be a mistake to underestimate the turtles.

I believe Spiderman already opened. I was seeing reviews a couple weeks ago. Lemme see . . .

Yeah it made 90+ million opening weekend. Not sure if that is considered good in this competition or not.

Spiderman is underperforming so far. I agree TMNT has lots of upside, lots of turtles age people now have kids of thier own.

If Godzilla doesn't clear $100MM this weekend it won't break $200MM total. It's rating on rotton tomatoes is dropping fast...

Godzilla is actually rated pretty highly by critics and whatnot, that I have seen. imdb rating is respectable. Not that that necessarily translates to box office.

I'm seeing 93 million for opening weekend. But then there are other figures for worldwide.

But I see we are just talking about domestic so nevermind about that.

Very similar opening to Spiderman, looks like.

Godzilla had strong opening weekend. 200MM+ appears to be a lock... next weekend has xmen, then each bettor will have their first pick open.

I believe you are quoting an international figure there whereas you said in post #1 that this wager is about domestic.

93 million domestic, I'm seeing. Just a hair better than Spiderman's open. Like, a million and change.

Muddy. Im talking total domestic gross. $93MM was the opening weekend take, 200MM is what is projected to.be the total domestic box.

Spiderman is at 175 domestic currently. I think godzilla will end higher than spidy though I think spidy will be able to.gross 25mm more taking it over 200. But its aggregate of all three movies that wins.
