i like stirring the shit at peeps because all the regulars there think they are complete know it alls... pay no attention to me over there durito...anything negative i say about the people that disagree with me obviously has nothing to do with you...its the guys who are nothing more than consistent depositors that i like to take a shot at... fwiw, i have no problem with them only paying the deposits back...scammers dont deserve to be rewarded under any circumstance in my book..the kid was busted, and his moms lying made it completely obvious...nothing else really needs to be made of it and they should be happy to get the deposits back, IMO...i just like to carry on a bit when im bored

i don't really care, if raiders is one side though i assume it's wrong.

however, sbrjohns position of taking all the deposits but the last one is absurd. the account is def on sbr's sheet too which makes it even more sickening.

yeah , john lost me on that one... you either go full blown "they scammed and its the chance you take" and dont give them back anything, give them deposits or give them all of it.... where he got the "last" deposit is out of nowhere... i thought you could sign up there if you previously had an acct. with the greek or they had open signups for a while...but im not sure and thats why i never brought that up...wasnt sure if they were on sbrs sheet or not...doesnt matter though...i wish we could get a little bit more info...but im done with it...ive grown tired in my old age

The business model has changed now. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

I don't think it's changed that much if you look at the progression: cascade, betphoenix, heritage. It's a big affiliate funnel always has and always will be. All you need is a bit of common sense to see how their ratings are suspect and I don't know anyone that's based a decision to sign up to a book based on the ratings even given that.

Anyway SBR's handling of the heritage complaint didn't come as any surprise to me.

Yeah. I'm sure there are some NHL players from Wisconsin. None from my hometown though. We had a multicity hockey team. The only kids that played hockey were the ones who weren't coordinated enough to play basketball.

The real hockey players come from the northwoods of Wisconsin.

The UW has always had a good hockey team. I partied with Dany Heatley a few times while I was in school.

Yeah there are a few from Wisconsin. Phil Kessel, Ryan Suter, Brad Winchester and Jack Skille are from Madison. David Steckel (TML) is from Westbend. Sounds like David is from the sticks. Drew Stafford also from Milwaukee.

What was Heatley like to party with? The guy is a rich douchebag now.

You are right they haven't changed, it's just the industry. Pre UIGEA there were enough good books to not have to take on sketchy advertisers.

I still check the ratings if I want to know a book I haven't heard about. I figure A is still gonna be better than F. It's not like there's any other easy guide.

If there are no trusted guides or sources why not use the connections here and at other sites you visit with members you also trust and you guys make an unofficial but realistic ratings guide?

Not calling you out Reno so don't take it that way but in so many areas of life we bitch about what isn't instead of creating a way. I'm very guilty of that myself. Worse, I have ideas and spout off challenges to others but seldom take on or figure out how to accomplish my own.

Not calling you out Wally, but what books are you currently using? Any payout issues to report? Software glitches, CS complaints to share?

I use Pinny and Ladbrokes for hockey. No issues to report on my end.

Pucky, I don't use any offshore. I have an account at 5-Dimes but only played there a little last football season and never had to worry about payouts. I give them good marks for the deposit process though and I was happy with all the options available.

I was being serious thoug about actual users forming their own guide though. I would feel much better about a rating based on people I gave some credit to for having knowledge as opposed to a source who is an affiliate or provides space for adds and various promotions.

Anything can be suspect though. I mean we've all seen Plommer endorse a book or two based on his personal experience with them. However it could be argued even if not proven that someone could support a book for personal gains or present themself as a poster but actually work for a book.

Do you think Plommer would mislead us if he were offered a free week of unlimited Costa Rican escorts?

rito's rating for sportsbooks that accept US residents:

F

For all of them. Stay away.

So US this goes back to what I was asking a couple weeks ago with poker. I was talking about having a friend set up a bank account in Canada. Same would be true with sportsbooks, if it's a Canadian account then you could use Pinnical or Matchbook or some of the other more "reputable" books.
