I asked this/these once before and the response was less than satisfactory. I hope you won't let me down too, FW.

What is the nature of the universe? Where does it come from? Of what is it made? How did it come to exist? What is its purpose? By what process does it change? Is it evolving or devolving? Does it function by itself or would it degenerate to chaos without some kind of intelligent control?

The purpose is to gamble. The only way it will change is if the Cubs win the World Series. I would look for an Ice Age before that happens. We are in chaos now under the Obama Administration. Just remember, I didn't vote for him.

What is your opinion on the Kelly Criterion? I'm assuming you don't use it since "Juice only matters when you lose."

The sig is being me being a smartass. I play whatever i find value in, whether its 3 plays or 50/day. Kelly does work for many who dont have good money management skills. For me, a Kelly-based system works better for me in sports that use a spread and not a ML. I see far too many people who won't play a baseball game because its +105 and not +110. That is just me though.

Well, Kelly is about maximizing growth. It's not a crutch because it's extremely hard to quantify an edge for most people. And if the +105 has no value yet the +110 does, why would you play it?

I do play +105 but many wont.

With Kelly, how does one know when an edge is maximized? I do think more people should use it in money management when gambling though. I'm conservative wager-wise for the most part, but if i see something, i will pound it.
