no idea what i'm doing for thanksgiving - spending it here on the east coast though, haven't spent TG with my family for years. not a big holiday for us. just turkey.

folks are coming to NJ for xmas. they're staying for a week. luckily they're staying in a hotel and not with me, but yeah 7 days of mom and dad.

mom makes amazing food!!! she is a trained chef, more or less, she has been to cooking school (not the kind for housewives, she went to the kind for chefs). My favorites that she makes are Chicken Veloute, Coq au vin, this pork and rice thing, osso bucco, homemade pastas and sauces, beef wellington (we have it every xmas), all of her home made breads, pumpkin bread, key lime pie, lamb shank.... i could keep going... oh oh bourbon salmon, thats awesome.
