2012 College Football Plays

It's finally here. The anticipation has been building and finally we have a true sport to wager on.

Since Cougar is retiring from posting in order to focus on real life endeavors I feel compelled to step in and carry a season long thread dedicated to forecasting winning selections in college football. This is not a quest, a trek or even a challenge other then my own personal one.

I welcome support and hate alike as I attempt to produce a winning season. I will be here every week with plays or until I am offered an exclussive contract deal from WindBeneathOurWings.com.

South Carolina @ Vanderbilt

I want to go against the grain here and play Vanderbilt but the truth is I just can't trust the Commodores to be diverse and skilled enough to overcome the Gamecock's defense.

Defense though is the key here and defense delivers my play for this game. The game is at 45.5 total points at the time of this posting but I like it all the way down to 41 with strong confidence and down to 37 if truly forced to go that low.

Chalk chalky chalky!

Yep yep it's all about laying the chalk this opening week. I wish I was good enough to recognize real value with playing the dog without a hunch or guided by a program but I simply am just not that good.

I said I would deliver a play on the Florida Gators every game this season and while there is much left unknown as of yet I am fairly certain that the defense won't allow more than 6 points in the opener. On offense we will be searching for not only an identity but for a leader as well and both quarterbacks are slotted to split time. Even with all the unknowns however Florida has talent and loads of it. Talent alone won't work in every situation but it'll be enough this weekend.

Play #2:

Florida -29.5 (-110)

This is good through 31.

FW, I luv MAC football. I have made some of my best plays in that conference. I don't hate northern teams but I sure as hell dislike a few, mainly Ohio St and it's not Urban related either.
