When I lived in Peoria and I was a Rivermen season ticket holder they always played the Canadian national anthem even though the teams playing were always American. They do it for the players who are mostly Canadian. Doug Evans for the win!

I'm guessing you mean Soviet words. I know I don't much care for the new Russian lyrics. Luckily they did not sing it at sporting events, just the music as is whats done in the Olympics.

I think Portland could support NHL better than the southern cities. The minor league team does well. Traveling to Vancouver, Seattle, Portland also makes sense on a road trip.
