Guess I'm a pawn. The only people who think they are overpriced don't own one. I would bet the customer satisfaction of an Apple product is mighty high.

They are great products. I have never met anyone who has complaints about them. I only have a windows laptop and a smart phone. When my current laptop and smartphone die I will get the ipad and the iphone. I hate to get the ipad now without having ever used an iphone.

pucky,

i think it's a great product, but it depends on what you want it for. i have the first one, i used it a lot at first but now not so much. it's a great internet browsing device, e-reader, for games, etc. It's not a laptop replacement if you do any serious work on your laptop when you travel or whatever ,but it's certainly a lot easier to carry around and pull out.

I use it a lot when traveling but almost never now at home. Part of that is my phone has replaced it as my mobile internet device and it is also slow as shit now on the new ipad software which i cant uninstall.

For some people it is all they will ever need. My dad has one, he never had a computer and never will, the ipad is the perfect device for him.

The screen on the new one is incredible and the speeds on the 4G LTE are probably pretty sweet. Don't know if that helps, got one for mrs durito a couple months ago (for no good reason). It's a mobile facebook browser. That a was good use for $800.

Because he can.

Mostly a combination of stupidity, bad luck, and need. I pretty much don't use any of the apple stuff anymore. The screen is broke onthelatop, the desktop doesnt work either, but even when i fix it, it is going to be for picture and other family stuff. i've found that if a colombian goes with 5 feet of a windows computer it will stop working so have to keep them away from my work stuff.

Yeah mine died. I used to love that cheapy clamshell. I could fit it in my change pocket. LOL!

:sup:

The only thing that I would ever use a tablet for is for remote desktop. I'd much rather carry a laptop which costs the same or less and does far more.

The only advantage of a tablet from my perspective (whether it's an iPad or otherwise) is that if you have to walk two miles uphill both ways everyday, you don't get as tired.

And, of course, you pay a premium for Apple with almost nothing in the way of benefit (everyone has cloud technology, syncing, etc.) other than a slightly more diverse app selection which most people don't use to their advantage anyway.

3) its a great e-reader (indoors)

:redx::redx:

Bad idea jeans. You should not be treating your eyes to a back-lit reading experience, it's akin to staring at a computer screen all day (which obviously tons of people including myself do). Real e-readers use actively rearanged physical particles so it is the eye-strain equivilent of reading a book.

It's an e-reader but it's by far the worst on the market, tied with all back-lit tablets.
