I thought I would list some ideas and reasoning behind them for the MLB Challenge. I dont expect you to agree to everything or do expect that you will have ideas as well so that is why I thought I would put it out there now so there is time to consider and negotiate.

1: Obviously as you have already mentioned it depends on when your current challenge is over but for the purpose of discussion lets assume ours was able to begin May 1st.

2: I personally would like to see 200 (MLB ONLY) plays. That few of plays will allow for spot betting as well as being enough plays to make it last.

3: My personal preference would be all plays be to win equal units but I could see where from a strategic standpoint it might be fun to do like 100 plays at 1-unit, 75 at 2-units, 15 at 5-units and 10 at 10-units.

4: We both have a 5-Dimes account so either use only their lines ar at least list where they play is from for tracking purposes.

5: Alternate lines would also add to the strategic aspect of the challenge but personally I would prefer straight RLs, MLs, 1st-5 innings and Totals.

6: Post season play may or may not be good but my original thinking is regular season only.

7: Any play posted is posted as LISTED not ACTION.

8: Winner is to be decided as the contestant who wins the most units or the loser closest to zero should both end up negative.

9: Purse is $300 with the loser paying the winner upon completion. If either fails to meet the full agreed upon number of plays regardless of unit standing they automatically lose.

My opinion? I would only have a MINIMUM of 200 plays. There shouldn't be a maximum.

You should also have the freedom to select a reasonable unit range with no restrictions on the number of plays at any level.

2 cents. Take it or leave it.

10: While you would have no way of knowing if we do this all my plays will be solely my plays but I have no problem with your plays being yours, your consensus or whatever. That's not taking a shot just saying it doesn't matter to me.

MonkeyFocker, I'm trying to think it through but in both of your suggestions don't they fit more easily into regular betting and only complicate a structured type of contest?

The same thinking goes along with having a set number of plays as well.

Don't take my questioning as arguing just trying to rationalize things.

Daft -115 Wally + 100

I gotta be a bigger dog than that. Daft has a proven track record with baseball, loves betting baseball and admittedly has help with baseball.

I having a losing track record with all sports, have all but quit betting all sports, am TERRIBLE at baseball above all other sports.

Arch, Daft has to be a minimum -150

1: Obviously as you have already mentioned it depends on when your current challenge is over but for the purpose of discussion let’s assume ours was able to begin May 1st. Yeah, we'd have to start by May 1 for me to definitely be able to get 200 plays in. I'm not a medium volume guy let alone a high volume guy

2: I personally would like to see 200 (MLB ONLY) plays. That few of plays will allow for spot betting as well as being enough plays to make it last. 200 play min, no max as MF'R said

3: My personal preference would be all plays be to win equal units but I could see where from a strategic standpoint it might be fun to do like 100 plays at 1-unit, 75 at 2-units, 15 at 5-units and 10 at 10-units. I'd be most comfortable with 1, 2 or 3 unit plays.

4: We both have a 5-Dimes account so either use only their lines ar at least list where they play is from for tracking purposes. using 5dimes lines exclusively works for me

5: Alternate lines would also add to the strategic aspect of the challenge but personally I would prefer straight RL’s, ML’s, 1st-5 innings and Totals. I agree with what you prefer

6: Post season play may or may not be good but my original thinking is regular season only. If we move forward with this, we're starting
late so I'd be in favor of including post season

7: Any play posted is posted as LISTED not ACTION. Agree

8: Winner is to be decided as the contestant who wins the most units or the loser closest to zero should both end up negative. Agree

9: Purse is $300 with the loser paying the winner upon completion. If either fails to meet the full agreed upon number of plays regardless of unit standing they automatically lose.

I need to think about #9 for a day or two

2 things definitely need to happen prior to this proposed challenge:

-The iifold challenge ends before May 1

-I get paid before May 1

Also, I'm not giving 2/1 or 3/1.

You won the durito 500. Anything can happen in 200 plays. If I agreed to this challenge I'd be giving you a shot at winning your money
back. That should be enough incentive for you.

Keep in mind, I am not a pro. Far from it. This wouldn't be Wally v Mr. X/durito/MF'r

It would be Wally v Daft

And just thinking outside the box, I'd really have no way of knowing that MF'r (driven by his utter disdain for me) was not supplying you with plays with substantial edge.

NOT saying that either of you would do that. Just pointing out that it's remotely possible.
