I have this collection of bare parts running as a desktop in my guest room. Power supply sitting next to motherboard sitting next to DVD drive. I have to short the PW pin with a knife to start it.

LOL. Nice. I used to do that shit all the time. Always swapping shit in and out too. Never had the case covers on for any of my PC's. I've settled down a bit on that though.

My first computer (in 1993) was a Dell 486 DX2/66 with 16 MB of RAM/300 MB HDD/2x CD-ROM. Loaded. It was a beast back then. Cost $3100.

Since then, I've built every computer I've owned with the exception of laptops.
