Home next Monday the 9th of January and really want watch the game and hopefully make a buck or two on it! Working every Sat last 5 years not into CFB at all anymore! Haven't seen either team for a single down all year! IMO the biggest NC Game in a long time where you really can say the best 2 teams are in it!

Alabama and LSU in the New Orleans! Can't get any better! I know a rematch but still! Not a fan of Nick Saban and Les Stiles doesn't seem much cleaner but after seeing the BS in college sports this last year with teams bolting for $$$$$ it all comes down to the presidents of the universities being the granddaddy of them all for the POS award IMO!

So what I would like to hear from you all is the your breakdown of what the outcome will be! Lots of knowledgeable college foots posters here so that shouldn't be a problem! Will decide on who to bet from the insight gathered in this thread! Appears to be a pickem game at the moment! I hope what I read from this thread will point to Bama as the choice so I can root along with Nina for a Crimson Tide vistory but we will see!

And now for other reasons. In the first game, Bama won the stats. The coaches blew that one by not having faith in their QB to win it for them. Way too conservative play calling on offense. Basically it was a prevent offense. Richardson was getting huge chunks of yards had well over a 100 of all purpose yards for the game. Lacey should be over his turftoe. He is from LA so you know he wants to rub it in his homies' faces when he goes home. My team is healthy right now and my defense is the best in the nation, hands down.

Alabama doesn't qualify based on what I do but in this type of game I don't put much stock in my system because I "assume" I know more about what I have seen than what the numbers dictate.

As an objective person (meaning a fan of neither team) Alabama was the better team performance wise in the first game with the exception of Red Zone scoring and basically their field goal kicker. They moved the ball into scoring position better than did LSU but LSU was able to stop them from getting into the endzone and forced them to attempt field goals which obviously they missed.

From the defensive side of the ball these 2 teams are hands down the best in the country and could rank with the all-time greatest of college defenses.

On the offensive side of things neither are majorly impressive but both have enough talent to force both defenses to play at their best. Both offensive lines are stout, physical and fast. Alabama has the edge at running back with Richardson but LSU is fully capable of collectively matching the running game with a combination of Jefferson, Ford and Ware.

IF both teams keep the ground game as it's primary offense then we will probably see much the same as we saw last time. I think Saban will do just that. I think the wildcard here is if the Mad Hatter decides to do what he is best known for doing and getting a little wild and taking some big risk big reward type stuff.

I think the key to winning this game is attacking the other defenses secondary and throwing the ball down the field. If that is a game plan I like LSU's chance just a little bit more.

There is so much at stake and these teams are so very, very alike it's difficult to predict an outcome MrMonkey. I personally want Alabama but my gut says LSU.
