Don Best is a good ways away from the strip. It's actually close to my neck of the woods. There are a bunch of places to hang out around there. Nice restaurants. Good bars. There's also Red Rock, Suncoast, and the Rampart Casino in that area.

RR Casino is great, great pool too.
