It is kind of like DSL as they use your basic copper phone wiring. It works great for me. I can have 3 HD's channels streaming at once plus still download shit on my computer fast.

They have raised the price quite a bit since I first got it which pisses me off. Every few months or so I call and threaten to cancel so they give me a little discount.
