Now fighting Bodog again because they don't know the rules of their own promotion. I requested an update about 4 days ago, finally got it, and the information they sent is incorrect. I was afraid of this. Now I'm going to have to call up and argue with them, probably

Here's what I love. I'm setting up a deposit for Bookmaker and they give me a receiver in Philippines and tell me it has to be received in USD. I say okay and go to the outlet. The outlet tells me they can't do it - they can only receive in Philippines pesos.

I sez, "Really? Damn. Thought I had done this before but maybe that was only Western Union. Well if you can't, you can't." I come home. Just to double check that it wasn't an error on the part of the clerk, I phone Moneygram. The answer is no. They can't send receive USD in Philippines from Canada.

So I call back Bookmaker and tell them what happened. Dude sez really? Hang on, let me talk to processing and look into this.

He puts my on hold where I remain for a few minutes.

When he finally gets back on the line, what does he say? He sez, "Processing sez you should be able to do it. You should be able to send the USD to Philippines."

:excl:

Oh well isn't that fabulous. Thank you for keeping me on hold to come up with that response. I guess I'll just march right back to Moneygram and try again then if I should be able to do it.

Thank you very much.

What are they thinking coming up with a response like that? I tell them point blank I tried something and I can't do it, and after 5 minutes the response they come up with is I should be able to do it?

Like what? They're thinking I was retarded on my first attempt and it should work the next time?

Maybe they figure there is no actual problem and I just phoned because I'm lonely?

I hear you brother, loud and clear.

I am often frustrated when having to deal with some of the offshore customer service reps. Cris/Bookmaker are some of the worst offenders.

Wanted to change my address, was a clusterfuck from the start and had to speak to a supervisor to get things fixed, turns out that particular supervisor was a Jamaican dude that used to live in Toronto - there was no language barrier.
