i'm starting to get worried about how the GL visitors and posters come away from their experiences here?

are we changing political views and views about countries?

Really on the fence about this one.

- Potato wants to meet the great RickySteve and Dr. durito.
- Potato wants to visit the area.

But...

- Potato is anti-social and going by himself is just tough to do.
- Potato MIGHT be back in school (or just getting off summer school where he will be going camping for a week or two in the Tetons).

potato i have met the great rickysteve on several occasions

it is a fukin real-deal experience

not a lot of words, no extraneous facial expressions

buries people like I have never seen

i dont mean buries morons, i mean buries all comers, upper tier guys

at that level guys don't "get" buried, they bury themselves in the presence of superiority

guy doesn't bury them with effort, just by being him

guy is a fukin jedi ninja of gambling

zero emotions, pure EV, inefficiencies almost undetectable

walk through a casino with him it is amazing

guy is looking at payout tables on machines as you walk, will also have a book full of freebie coupons in his hand he got from somewhere, will casually remark how unbelievably profitable bodog poker used to be, etc etc

fukin understated, but not stone-faced, smiles if you joke around

the vibe is very "managing director interacting with the lower employees at the company christmas party"

it is a fukin intense experience

is he way more intelligent than the rest of us? way more disciplined? way more rational? way more entrenched in reality? I don't know but he's way more something than most of the rest of us that's for damn sure

i highly recommend hanging out with him

discuss anything intelligent at your own risk

me i just joke around to protect myself, and then get serious once in a while, and brace myself for the burial

i feel awful about myself and exhilarated at the same time
