Hawk, serious question: Why do you post at rbs daily, yet avoid this place? Just wondering what the appeal over there is anymore. Whenever I stop by lately, I am not impressed. I suppose the same could be said about here. This bubblegum facebook forum has begun to grow on me for some reason..

Yeah, good question.

I have gone over to RBS only a couple of times in the last few months and can honestly say we are not missing anything, well other than SBRJohn tooting his own horn and telling everyone how great things are with the site.

They are definitely pushing for more signups to the "pro" program - more money for the affiliate program from player losses no doubt.

Honestly, it's the bright lights. Big forum. 10+ years ago I started posting at a large site, was there regularly for a couple years. Something happened and a group left to start a forum, similar to what happened here. . After a while I returned to the big place.

Pavy, I wish there were more posters that were into futbol, I like the game but don't have enough knowledge about the leagues and teams to participate myself.

PS: In summer we talk baseball and Canadian football.

I meant on the few times they talk about sports. I see some posters like Wal or Cougar posting their picks with analysis but 80% of the topics are non-sports related. It may be good for getting some conversation going on but you are not going to attract new posters from these threads.
