Gentleman Jack is too subtle. It's better than Old No. 7 but the double-filtering makes it lose too much character. Single Barrel is tons more complex and still has that JD bite, without the burn. It's quite excellent. Too expensive though, I'm getting another Maker's Mark when the Single Barrel is depleted.

makers mark is decent, i dont really care for any of the jack daniels. not much of a bourbon drinker on the whole. i much prefer scotch and (some) canadian whiskeys

The Canadian Whiskeys I've tried tasted like ass. Canadian Club and Crown Royal.
