im going to like this.

Barring something unexpected, I will not be trick-or-treating with the lads. One of them is too old and the other will be doing his thing over where he lives. God be with him.

I myself am planning to dress up as a toasted western sandwich.

My plan is to wander around town in my costume all day and people will look at me like WTF?

And I will calmly say, "Toasted Western."

And they will be all like, "Oh."

No but seriously man, it should be great.

Episode 2 was already getting a bit tiresome for me. It is basically well done and there are interesting human interactions - but then there are a lot of zombies. At heart, I am just not a zombie guy. You can only do so much with zombies.

I am not dropping it yet. I was quite tired when I was watching it so that may have affected my perception. We'll see.

I haven't seen this but people are going absolutely nuts over this show. If you've seen one zombie, haven't you seen them all? I feel the same way about penis and vaginas.

In my experience, yes, when you've seen one zombie, you've seen them all. Zombies can only barely sustain a whole movie for me. Then I think about a TV series where it will go on for hours and hours. I don't know what you do with it.

If I was involved in the writing I would have a strong urge to have the zombies start doing some things that zombies have never done before. Maybe if you look closely you find they have individual personalities. Maybe they show signs of remembering the life they came from. Maybe they take up golf.

No but seriously man, do you have a zombie with a heart of gold who starts protecting people from zombies, like the character Angel from Buffy The Vampire Slayer? Do you go there? God save us all.

I don't know.

Oh man, could you imagine a zombie that goes the route of Dexter where you can hear the conflict in its head?

"Tonight's the night. And I know it's going to happen. I don't want it to happen, grrrruughhh.....but I know it will. grlummmgah.... GIVE ME BRAINS!"

I enjoyed episode 3 last night.

It looks like they are doing the right thing and focusing on the human interactions and basically keeping the zombies in the background. I know I said it before, but you can REALLY only do so much with zombies.

Bring one in every once in awhile for the gross-out factor but then get back to the post-apocalyptic survival stuff.
