My Italian/German tradition is to drink and pass out before midnight.

I have been told I will be at an Irish Pub at midnight tonight though.

The ex planned out today. She just gave me a flask for xmas

Done many of the drunk and passed out before midnight. No complaints about it either. Probably a little sauce and movies with Cami this year.

Anyway moving on Casp this is not sounding like an ex anymore.

Wtf is a toy tradition? We playing hot wheels cars tonight or what? If so I AM IN.

My family started a tradition out of the blue like 15 years ago of going to the Black Angus Steak House on New Year's eve. I was not really on board. I love the Black Angus but traditions should be organic IMO - and this was totally contrived. There was no feeling. No sense of history or whatever.

We did it once and - BOOM! - my parents and sister started to talk about it like it was a real tradition. I was leery and never joined in the tradition-talk but I did quite a few of them just to go along.

What I found was happening though was that, similar to Christmas, where I have to drive my brother everywhere and it is like 4.5 + hours driving for a 6 hour get-together. The NYE thing, I had to get my brother AND my parents - because dad wanted to drink and mom doesn't like to drive in the dark - so it was like 6+ hours driving for a ~1 hour get-together.

:fok:

Last couple years I started lying and saying I had other plans. This year, I was all ready to lie but I didn't even hear it mentioned so I don't know.
