I was thinking we should all pitch in a dollar or two and adopt a kid from Sally Struthers or one of those missionary people. We could post his photo, send him food and our 2009 SBR T-Shirt hand me downs. It would be a great way to make the world better. We can even vote on what to name our kid! Think of all the possibilities!!:winna:

Casper,

Can you send me $430 (CAN) to help me pay for my oldest boy's hockey registration? This is for his IP program. I also need a donation for his brand new hockey gear. Hockey Canada/GM are also giving every Canadian kid a free CCM helmet (with cage) who are new registrants to the IP program. I also have skates and he's using my cup for his rooster so we're all set in those departments. His hockey gear that he needs will run me about $160. Darn, I'll also need $169.99 (CAN) for his composite hockey stick.

Blitty, my oldest boy shoots right. I think you shoot right. Would you be kind enough to donate one of your sticks? If so, can you also sign it and send it it the mail?

If anyone has any donations for gas/travel money please be kind and send money to the PuckOff family.

Thank you kindly and may whatever god or supreme being you are into bless you all.

Regards,

PuckOff

mods please delete this in case Puckoff's son goes to play in the NCAA first....

Mods delete my post about deleting the other post....

do you think he'll get drafted out of High School? or go play some jr hockey somewhere?

I don't know the first thing about young amateur hockey....

Puck-off...what kind of training do you have him doing now? Did he keep a puck and stick in his crib?

It's is absolutely rare for kids to be drafted right out of high school these days Arch. Very rare, but it does happen. Most kids end up going to Major Jr here in Canada. Some are drafted in Tier II Jr (Jr A) though, but those cases are also rare, but not as rare as being drafted out of high school. The kids who go on to College are usually drafted into the NHL from either a Jr league (not major Jr) or a U.S./Euro development league or program.

He did not keep a puck and stick in his crib. I had him skating 2 years ago at age 3. He's pretty decent, but we noticed he regressed last year so this will be dealt with in a 2 weeks time as it is a little bit of a concern to me right now. He's pretty pumped to get going so I think he'll be ok. We feel like my youngest is going to be the better player as he's much more aggressive (both physically and competitively) at his age than my oldest was. My oldest has a very nice shot though. Very 'graceful" and not Blittyish. His stick is cut to the proper length so this likely is a key factor in him developing a cannon at such a young age. Good times ahead!!!

Arch, would you be intereted in sponsoring my son? You can get a nice return on yrou investment/sponsorship. Think it over.

I'll send you 25 bucks in return for a piece of all future contracts...

very small return mind you

on day 1 of his signing I get 1 penny (if they have pennies then)
day 2 I get 2 cents
day 3 I get 4 cents
and so on and so on

until the last contract your son signs for playing, coaching, or being employed by an NHL or other Professional Hockey league for any job expires.

deal?

you can request the $25 from my paypal at [email protected]

thanks
