Apparently it is going to cost twice as much to mine bitcoin soon, which begs the question... If it becomes too expensive to mine bitcoin, who is going to do it in the future? It looks like it will only be big business doing it... in Iceland and China

I do not own any, nor have I, but I know a few people who are into the mining thing.

The mining herd will thin itself out and difficulty will go down, meaning that mining won't require quite as much computing power to stand a chance of finding a block.

It's all beautifully self-regulating and shit.
