Yeah, it's REALLY strange. There's tons of stuff that's incredible out there, super high production value, killer editing, etc. But then there's also tons of low-effort shit that does super well. I'm just trying to find my piece of the pie. At the end of the day, I can't afford to pour 60...

Yeah I'm not sure to be honest. I'm not going to for now. Still need YouTubes algo to stop being a hater. Posted the Oak Island one on the Oak Island reddit. They seemed to like it and it got more views than usual. But algo still buried me.

So far my just talking to camera vids are clearly outperforming my skits. Talking to camera is much lower effort and takes much less time to edit, so if I can get on a roll with this doing reactions/commentary, that'd be fine by me!

Would love to see another uptick but definitely happy that 1.5-2k is the new normal, less duds than before for sure. Trying a completely different format for my long-form video this week (13m video covering Am I The Asshole threads on Reddit), curious if that will do any better than the skits...

As mentioned before in this thread, $0 in reels/shorts. All the money is in longer vids. These shorts are fun and potential brand builders but being internet famous on shorts means fuckall if you don't figure it out on the longs. Which I am getting destroyed on with zero views through first four 😩
