I see in my TV listings a half-hour thing called Gandolfini. The descriptions says something like, "friends and colleagues of Emmy-winning actor James Gandolfini share their thoughts and experiences about his life."

I like James Gandolfini just fine but I can think of only a few things I would less want to watch. Actors and show-biz colleagues are sickeningly ass-kissing of each other when they are alive. I can only imagine how goopy it would get about a dead guy.

I guess I will be watching the 11 o'clock showing of True Detective. I'm fairly anxious and would like to see the first showing at 9, but my recording device only handles two things at once and I've got Shameless and Cosmos at 9. I don't see them re-airing later overnight so my flexibility is limited.

So it's True Detective at 11. I will have to avoid this thread between 10 and that time just in case.

Well that would be nice. There is a certain exhileration in finding a series that you really like and you are many seasons behind so you can grab entire seasons and whip through them at whatever pace you choose.

Done this many times with many great series.
