Yeah I guess so. After you brought it up I re-thought the original thinking and you were right. I should only ever bet 1/3 of what's remaining.

Sometimes I think I have a secret desire to lose. Without ever even looking at the TOTAL I loved the UNDER in the Toronto/Indiana game tonight,I really liked Brooklyn to cover against Cleveland and the other NCAA game I liked was Richmond minus the points.

Not only did I not play any of those easy winners I went so far as to actually research and look in-depth at the numbers for the Wichita/VCU game and NOTHING suggested VCU should, would or could cover the posted line. I saw the line move up a half-point before I posted and that alone convinced me to go that route.

I promised myself that I was gonna be dedicated and disciplined in my approach here. Disciplined should mean more than not playing a bunch of games. Discipline should include avoiding "hunches" and all other signs that tell any semi-non-idiot that they don't have a fok'n edge.
 
Come on Wally, you're talking like a rookie. Sure, When a pick loses, you would have been better off playing something that won.

Guess what? On your wins it was a good thing you didn't play something that lost instead.



Guess what else? These "easy winners" you should have played tonight were not easy winners. They were pretty close to coinflip propositions - like all spreads and totals. They just happened to go the way they went.

You are pointlessly tormenting yourself with 20-20 hindsight and selective recollection. Rookie stuff.

Oh it's been the other way before. When I was writing for Blackie I went through a spell where I was losing more than winning in the Durito Challenge thread but during that period I went 8-0 on my Blackie plays.


Oh well I still have another $60 wager to get things back on track.
