Yeah, there wasn't a point. Maybe I liked it as much as I did because it was like that Seinfeld episode. The movie was about nothing.

I felt that way after watching "The Tree Of Life".

That movie was such pompous drivel. Tried way to hard to be artsy and important.

That's funny, I really liked The Fountain, but didn't like The Tree of life at all. Take out the first half hour and get rid of the ending and you might have a movie.

Moneyball

Pretty good, lots of particulars I didn't really know about. Not a great movie acting wise though, but it's watchable. Average at best for a sports film. Better than Rookie of the Year, but no Bull Durham.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes

I am not really into action films at all because they tend to be very similar, but I liked this one. Good interesting story, very well done effects (though CGI really gets on my nerves sometimes-but honestly how are you going to take over a city via monkeys without it??). Found myself rooting for the apes to kill people, so I'd say it worked.
