Nah. I'm itching to go on another epic road trip through the states I have yet to visit. Which is most of them.

BTW:

Alerts: Toronto, ON

Weather WarningIssued at 10:55 AM EDT Thursday 21 July 2011
Summary
Extreme temperatures and humidex values expected today.

Details
Weather conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms this afternoon. The main threats are damaging winds, large hail and torrential downpours. The humid tropical air mass has arrived as expected. The strong July sun will quickly cause the mercury to soar well into the middle and upper thirties this afternoon. Combining the record setting temperatures with the high humidity in this sultry tropical air mass will result in oppressive humidex values in the low to mid forties across all of Southern Ontario by this afternoon.

what is this dry heat?
I hear people saying its 110 in Arizona but a dry heat...
some say its worse than the humidity we deal with?????

Dry heat: When I went to Vegas for the Bash it was like 115 F when I got out of the terminal to get a cab. It feels like when you open the oven door to take out the cookies. It's hot but you don't sweat all over the place.

Your sweat evaporates instantly in dry heat. It's much easier to tolerate. I thought 108F/42C in Vegas was lovely. 8% humidity at the time. Here, anything higher than 90F tends to be painful cause of the constant high humidity.

Matt I'm seeing 82 right now in Toronto and feels like 88 (wunderground.com).

We are at 92.6 and feels like 113 already.

Come on pal. Man up.

Upon further review, I think weather underground has a more updated reading on my weather and an outdated number on yours....and vise versa for the site you linked.

(because yours said 88 here and it hasn't been 88 since 10am)

Different station? If you use the one on Toronto Island (CYTZ), which is on the lake, the temp there is always much cooler.

No. You're right. I just checked the sites and they are recording from different stations. The cooler one is out on a Naval base that's in a wide open area. The other one is from a populated area.

And it looks like humidity today is going to be 98, not 85. I thought that sounded a little low.

Oh boy...
