Wow. You're full of non sequiturs tonight.

Yes. Autopsies cannot confirm OD'ing as a cause of death.

A non sequitur? Comparing the litigation potential of currently illegal drugs to legal tobacco products is a non sequitur? It's just as pointless to talk to you as it ever was. I'm not sure what I was thinking.

You specified sports gambling. But it's not equivalent. Parts of prostitution aren't legal. Parts of gambling are.

Blowjobs for money aren't legal. Slot machines, blackjack, craps, etc., etc., etc. are.

Unless I'm naively misinformed, blowjobs ARE acceptable for money in certain parts of Nevada. So is sports gambling.

You participate in at least one of these activities. They are both equally "victimless crimes" in every other municipality in America. What I'm trying to understand is how you can justify one or the other or both in certain parts of Nevada, but not for the rest of the unwashed masses.

Umm. You have direct causal mortality versus probabilistic mortality. Just because someone smokes and gets cancer DOES NOT mean that they necessarily got cancer because they smoked. Holy shit, you'd be a horrendous lawyer.

There's a reason why it's illegal in Clark County. It doesn't become victimless in densely populated areas.

The legalizing of things prostitution, gambling, drugs etc... is not so much a question of morality or fairness. The motherfuckers who have power need to know how they will benefit from any change. They need to figure out who will distribute, oversee shit, collect money etc... The elites will not just legalize shit and let the dealers and pimps exploit the public for their own benefit.

True. That plays a very large part in it.

Either? I'm not following.

I think you need to look at the history of red light districts in American cities. They have always been havens for crime.

You said that the reason prostitution was illegal in Clark was because of dense population which I'm calling bullshit on. The reason it's illegal in Clark is because they want you spending your money in the casinos when you come to Vegas, not on hookers. They're not striving to be the hooker capital of the world. Not as much profit for the city/state in that regard.

And might I add, lord knows its a good thing they don't allow hookers in Vegas. With the density of poulation, its a recipe for disaster. Thank our stars they are illegal, because that town would just go to shit if there were hookers in Vegas.

Alright. Gnight internet.

The casinos want you to enjoy your time here. Do the casinos want you to spend your money there? Yeah. But there are a ton of places for people to spend their money outside of gambling. Eliminating prostitution doesn't really help them much at all (if any) economically. Part of the problem with legalized prostitution on the strip is that they also want it to be somewhat family friendly. There are a lot of problems associated with it outside of that. There are various degrees of sex trafficking and child prostitution problems along with pimps, drugs, theft, fraud, etc. The casinos want you to come back more than anything, and if your experience is tarnished by an encounter with a dubious street walker, there's a good chance that you won't.

Do you think they'd have brothels right on the strip? No. There would be a red light district just as there is with the strip clubs here (which is in a pretty shitty area called the Lost City). You wouldn't have brothels sitting between Chuck E. Cheese and McDonalds or between the Wynn and Encore. It just doesn't work like that. And if you think that those areas aren't pervasive with crime, then you're just plain naive.

Sex is family friendly.

I believe it is currently the only way to create a family.

Ironic.

No wonder everyone dislikes Blitty. Guy caused another huge mess last night!

Good read though. Nice job, fellas, one and all.

I really don't care much about the legalization of it or whatever else you guys went at it about here.

I will say that I don't agree with the calls sending the working ladies off on a wild goose chase. I also would probably take off if I was partying with Blister and he had Craigslist girls coming by primarily just to mess with them like in Tampa. I did find a bit of humor in the calls though, as I find the funny in all kinds of horrible shit.

And lastly, I've paid for the services of those nice ladies from time to time. Strip club backroom, oriental spa, back page specials. Probably 5 times total. Had the misdirection random ugly girl show up once that looked nothing like the model in the picture. Yeah, that really sucked. I now have a part time hobby where I hack up hookers and dump them into Tampa Bay. Only 1% of the time did anybody even notice.

:depom:

I haven't listened to these calls but the time I was on the line, there was no hope of sending girls anywhere. He was lucky if he could even keep them on the phone because he was calling from a private number and apparently that's a big no no in these circles. But even if he had sent a woman somewhere, I still wouldn't have judged him. Maybe if he told me he was just going to keep doing it all night but I've done plenty of silly things when I've been corked with my friends so I can't really be a hypocrite there.

As for the legalisation issue, well it's legal in the city I live in and this place is a mess when it comes to this stuff. I'm sure you guys could come up with many reasons why someone would prefer not to go to a brothel. And it's because of those reasons that all of the scummy shit still happens. In fact I don't know one of my guy friends who has gone to a brothel. They prefer to find the girls online or other ways. I don't think there's a right answer to this issue or if there is I've yet to see it.
